Stamford Scores and Standings: July 7

Stamford advanced to the finals of the 15-year-old District Four Babe Ruth tournament with a 15-4 victory over Greenwich on Wednesday. Stamford was coming off a 15-0 win over Darien on Tuesday.

In the best two-of-three finals, Stamford will face the winner of Thursday's contest between Darien and Greenwich.

In the 14s, Stamford suffered a 4-2 loss to Greenwich, which clinched  berth in the finals, also a best-of-three series.

Stamford will face Darien on Thursday (5 p.m.) for the right to earn a rematch against Greenwich.  The finals begin on Friday.
