FCIAC championship: Bassick 57, Stamford 51 -- Stamford's Luis Briddter scored a game-high 18 points but it wasn't enough for the Black Knights, who were denied their second FCIAC title in three years. Monday marked the first game since before Christmas that Stamford lost by more than one point. However, it could not overcome 20 turnovers.

Class LL, first round: Glastonbury 69, Stamford 49
Class LL, first round: Pomperaug 40, Westhill 38 -- Annie Hawthorn scored nine points for Vikings, whose fourth-quarter rally fell short. Westhill trailed 33-21 entering the fourth period.
Class M, first round: Weaver 45, Trinity Catholic 43 -- It was rough night for the FCIAC, which went 2-6 in state tournament play with the city teams going 0-3. Ridgefield, Staples and Norwalk also lost while St. Joseph and Danbury were the only winners.
