Last week's rain, which caused numerous postponements, is once again wrecking havoc with the FCIAC playoff schedules.
Three of Monday's four FCIAC softball quarterfinal games -- Ludlowe at Westhill, Danbury at New Canaan and Warde at Darien -- have been postponed until Tuesday at 4 p.m.

As of 2:45 p.m., the Stamford at St. Joseph contest was still on.
Because of Monday's postponements, the FCIAC pushed back the semifinals, initially slated for Tuesday, to Thursday at Fairfield University at 3 and 5 p.m. The final is now scheduled for Friday at Fairfield at 4 p.m.

The FCIAC also postponed all four boys tennis quarterfinal matches until Tuesday and rescheduled the semifinals for Wednesday and Thursday.
-- The Westhill softball team, which completed a 20-0 regular season with an 11-1 win over Darien on Sunday, is ranked No. 1 in the New Haven Register top 10 state poll for the second straight week. The Vikings collected 13 of 14 first-place votes. The remaining first-place vote went to No. 3 Southington.
Here is the rest of the top 10: Waterford (18-1), Southington (15-1), Lauralton Hall (16-1), Seymour (19-1), Holy Cross (18-2) , Darien (16-3), Griswold, Bacon Academy, Foran (15-3) and Masuk (15-4) (tie).
The FCIAC announced Sunday that the semifinals of the softball playoffs with be played at Fairfield University of Tuesday (3 and 5 p.m.) and Thursday (4 p.m).
FRIDAY'S RESULTS
Softball
St. Joseph 2, Stamford 1 -- Taylor Zito was the hard-luck loser, allowing only five hits.
Westhill 2, New Canaan 0 -- Allison Macari tossed a four-hitter for the Vikings.
Trinity Catholic 9, Wilton 8 -- Kate Spielman snapped a tie in the sixth inning for the Crusaders while Ali Smith had hits and Caitlin Ornousky two triples.

Softball
Stamford 14, Trinity Catholic 1 -- Black Knights earned the No. 6 seed for the FCIAC playoffs.
Westhill 12, Bassick 0 (6) -- Vikings clinch the top seed for the FCIAC playoffs
Baseball
Trinity Catholic 6, Stamford 0 -- Chris Neuscheler tossed a five-hitter and Sammy Dominguez and Patrick Murphy homered for the Crusaders.
Boys lacrosse
Westhill at Immaculate - Westhill wins by forfeit.
SUNDAY'S RESULTS
Softball
Westhill 11, Darien 1 -- Allison Macari, who did not start on the mound with little at stake, had three hits, including a three-run home run. Emily Spoto earned the win for the Vikings, who completed a 20-0 regular season after locking up the No. 1 seed for the FCIAC playoffs on Saturday.
