Coming off a tough 42-16 loss to city rival Stamford, the Trinity Catholic football team looks to rebound on Friday, when it visits Fairfield Warde in a 7 p.m. kickoff.

This is a battle of 2-3 teams who are trying to save their seasons. The Crusaders have dropped two in a row while Warde is coming off a 37-20 defeat at Ridgefield.

Last season, Fairfield Warde outlasted Trinity Catholic 41-40 in Stamford in one of the wildest games of the year.

On Saturday, Westhill (0-5) hosts Danbury. The Vikings dropped a 21-0 decision last week to Franklin (Mass.) while Danbury (2-3) fell to Staples, 31-12.

Stamford is off this week as its schedule game with Berks Catholic was cancelled when the Pennsylvania school lined up another opponent without informing the Black Knights.
