Chelsea Piers Connecticut (CPCT) announces the hiring of Natalie Grainger as its director of squash.

Grainger has been a dominant fixture in the squash world since turning pro in 1996 at age 18. Throughout her 15-year professional career, Grainger has won dozens of tournaments, rising in 2003 to be the No. 1 squash player in the world.

Currently ranked No. 1 in the United States, Grainger also is a leader and ambassador for the sport, having served for eight years as the president of the Women’s International Squash Players Association (WISPA). She also currently serves as a U.S. national coach.

In her role as director of squash at Chelsea Piers, Grainger will be responsible for hiring top-level squash professionals and developing Fairfield County’s dynamic squash programming, which will include beginner to advanced level instruction, private lessons, leagues, elite team training, camps, clinics and more. In addition, CPCT intends to host high-level tournaments and competitions throughout the year.
