Stamford Senior Center Planning Programs on Health, Musical Lunch, A Wine Tasting

The Stamford Senior Center has a plethora of great programs planned for the month of April.

Check them all out below.
The center will be closed on Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday.

Lifelong Learning & Health & Wellness Presentations:

• Thursday, April 9: 10 a.m. - Center for Vein Restoration will be here to talk about Vein Health and will provide free vascular ultrasound demonstration and a complimentary ultrasound study.
• Friday, April 17: Stamford Hospital’s Lunch & Learn 11:30-1:00 The topic this month is on Fibromyalgia. A common illness that results in long term pain, tenderness in joints and muscles and other soft tissues. Fybromalgia has been linked to fatigue, sleep problems, headaches, depression and anxiety.
• Friday, April 24: 11:00 - 1:00 - Choices in Senior Living - A Lunch & Learn Panel Presentation. This informative presentation will include assisted living, reverse mortgages, downsizing services, legal issues, in - home services and more.
• Thursday, April 30: 10 -11 a.m. - Beyond The Medicine Cabinet; Prescription Drug Misuse and Abuse. Dr. Eric Collins and Ingrid Gillespie will be here for a most informative presentation.

LIVE FROM NASHVILLE - Westchester Broadway Theatre: Monday, April 13. Tickets are still available.Bus leaves the center at 10 a.m. and returns by 4 p.m. Cost is $85 for members and $90 for non-members. A wine benefit for the Senior Center:

The center’s board of directors is hoping residents will them join for a fun evening of fabulous wines,
Hors D’oeuvres and a silent auction to benefit The Stamford Senior Center.
