Stamford Sergeant Moved To Desk Duty After Husband's Cocaine Arrest

A veteran police sergeant was moved from internal affairs after her husband was arrested for possession with intent to sell.

STAMFORD, CT — A veteran Stamford Police sergeant has been reassigned to desk duty after her husband was charged with dealing cocaine.

Sgt. Jennifer Pinto, a 28-year veteran was moved from internal affairs to the front desk, according to the Stamford Advocate. An investigation found she wasn't involved in drug sales.

Cocaine packaged for sale, weapons and cash were found at the couple's Monroe home, police said. Michael Pinto founded Snappy Dogs and sold food outside the Bridgeport courthouse and later worked for the City of Bridgeport.

He injured his back while working for Bridgeport when he helped lift a sports utility vehicle off a young boy.
