Stamford Sets New Mill Rate
There will be a tax hike in Stamford for the next fiscal year.

STAMFORD, CT- The Board of Finance approved a 2.6 percent tax hike and moved the average mill rate to 25.76.
Stamford has four different taxing districts and rates for each district are determined by what municipal services such as sewer and garbage pick-up are offered.
Republican Town Committee Chair Fritz Balu called to balance the budget without a tax rate increase, according to the Stamford Advocate.
