On Feb. 13, the Danbury girls basketball team posted a hard-fought 43-40 victory over Trumbull to clinch the top seed for the FCIAC playoffs.

If forms holds, the Hatters and Eagles will meet in an FCIAC championship game rematch on Thursday at Fairfield Ludlowe.
Of course -- Wilton and Stamford -- the opponents for Danbury and Trumbull in Tuesday's semifinals -- might have something to say about that.
No. 3 seed Trumbull (18-3) faces No. 7 seed Stamford (12-9) at 6 p.m. at Ludlowe while Danbury (21-0) takes on No. 4 seed Wilton (14-5) in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. Thursday's title game is set for 7 p.m.
