STAMFORD, CT — Five-term State Rep. Dan Fox (D-148th), who represents Stamford in the Connecticut General Assembly, will continue as Chair of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz (D-30th) and Majority Leader Matthew Ritter (D-1st). In addition to chairing the Government Administration and Elections Committee, Fox also will serve on the Judiciary Committee.
"I thank the Speaker and the Majority Leader for awarding me this continued opportunity," said Fox in a statement. "I am thrilled that I will be remaining in my role as chair so that I can continue the work I began in my last term. We have a lot of important work to do during this upcoming session and I can’t wait to get started."
During his last term, Fox was appointed to chair the committee which addresses all matters relating to elections and voting laws, campaign finance laws, state government organization and reorganization, the Freedom of Information Commission and the Ethics Commission; state and federal relations; interstate compacts; and constitutional amendments.
