Stamford Teen Dead From Motorcycle Crash: Police
The accident happened on Nov. 22 on Elm Street at the intersection of North State Street in Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — The 17-year-old Stamford resident who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Monday night has died, according to an update from the Stamford Police Department. His name has not been released.
The accident occured Nov. 22 around 9:20 p.m. when a 1997 Honda Shadow motorcycle, driven by the 17-year-old, collided with a 2005 Nissan Titan pick-up truck on Elm Street at the intersection of North State Street in Stamford.
The driver of the pick-up truck, Edin Martinez-Peralta, 21, of Stamford, stayed at the scene and spoke with investigators, police said. The 17-year-old was taken to Stamford Hospital.

Martinez-Peralta did not have a valid license, vehicle registration or insurance, and he was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a written promist to appear in court, according to police. Martinez-Peralta is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 3.
Police said they will be working with the State Attorney's office to determine if additional charges will be filed.
