Stamford's Inspirica Announces Interim CEO
Inspirica's mission is to strive to end homelessness and housing insecurity.

STAMFORD, CT — Inspirica, Inc., the Stamford-based social services organization dedicated to ending homelessness and housing insecurity, recently announced Rosalba Messina as interim CEO.
The appointment comes after the departure of Denise Durham Williams.

Messina is an independent management consultant specializing in executive interim leadership services with extensive experience in serving the nonprofit community, including social service and advocacy organizations, Inspirica said in a news release.
She has worked with organizations that cater to various missions such as homelessness, housing, women's health, literacy, environmental policy, and LBGTQ, women's and civil rights.

Messina recently served as CFO of Planned Parenthood of Greater NY and held executive and senior leadership positions at Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC) and Women In Need (WIN), both established and well-respected homeless services organizations in New York City. She was the national director of operations at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), and the CFO/COO at the NY LGBT Community Services Center for over a decade.
Katie Bruce, co-chair of Inspirica’s board of directors, expressed her delight in Messina's appointment, according to a news release.
She noted that Messina brings over 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, including 15 Interim CEO assignments managing large, complex-program operations. Bruce believes that Messina will be a great cultural leader for the organization.
Inspirica is one of the largest providers of housing and comprehensive services to homeless and vulnerable residents in lower Fairfield County.
The organization houses approximately 426 individuals nightly throughout their 12 residential houses, including emergency shelters, transitional housing, deeply affordable housing, and permanent supportive housing.
Inspirica’s mission is to strive to end homelessness and housing insecurity by helping individuals and families achieve independence through support services and affordable housing.
The organization is located at 141 Franklin St. in Stamford.
