With the return of warmer temperatures finally here, Stamfordites will be flocking to local parks and beaches to celebrate the return of spring with a picnic. This week, Patch Picks is here with some of the best local picnic spots.
The beach park has a little something for everyone -- winding walking paths, sunny beaches, and plenty of open space for picnics and games. Plus check out some of the cool things going on at this season. The park is open from 5:30 am until one hour after sunset
This beatuiful and historic open space off of Westover Road is a quiet place for a picnic a little off the beaten path. Picnic tables are located both in the grassy area off the road and back in the . Open from dawn until dusk.

With grills, camping sites, playgrounds, and picnic areas, Mianus River Park has all of the basics for the perfect picnic, plus lots for the outdoorsy group. Places to fish, mountain bike, and one, three, or 17-mile hiking trails. Open from 6 am - 10 pm.
Boasting picnic tables, grills, and a playground area, Kosciuszko Park is another great place to picnic while enjoying great views of the water. The park also houses baseball fields and basketball courts. Open from dawn until dusk.

Stamford's urban park is still a work in progress, but the space is already a great place for a picnic and a great location for the whole family to spend an afternoon. The park also boasts a spectacular playground that was built entirely by volunteers. Open from dawn until dusk.
