'Summer Restaurant Weeks' Event Returns To Downtown Stamford: See Participating Eateries

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Downtown’s 2026 Summer Restaurant Weeks will return Aug. 24 through Sept. 7, with 29 downtown venues participating in the two-week event.

Participating restaurants will offer lunch and dinner menus, along with takeout options, at special prices. Prix fixe menus and promotions will range from $15 to $20 for lunch and $30 to $55 for dinner.

Summer Restaurant Weeks pricing will not be available through third-party ordering systems, including GrubHub, DoorDash and UberEats.

Some participating restaurants will offer dine-in service only, and not all restaurants will be open for both lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended.

The event will coincide with "Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0," an immersive and interactive public art installation on display in Columbus Park from Aug. 1 through Sept. 7.

Inspired by the vibrant street markets and sense of community found throughout Latin America, the installation invites visitors of all ages to gather, swing, relax and reconnect through playful design.

Created by Mexican designers Esrawe + Cadena, the installation transforms public space into an environment where art, design and human connection intersect. The installation features illuminated red, house-shaped frames, each containing a swing.

When unoccupied, the structures emit a soft glow. When someone steps inside, the light intensifies, signaling that someone is home and creating a shared moment of connection in the public space.

"Stamford Downtown is proud to bring this internationally recognized installation to our community," said Stamford Downtown President Michael Moore, in a news release. "Mi Casa, Your Casa 2.0 is more than an art exhibit — it is an invitation for people to come together, experience joy, and interact with Stamford Downtown in a unique and memorable way."

The installation has previously been exhibited at Lincoln Center in New York City, Houston, Las Vegas and Iowa City.
