Teen Beaten, Robbed in Downtown Stamford

Stamford Police say the 14-year-old thought he was meeting someone to buy a cheap iPhone but was beaten and robbed, according to a report.

A 14-year-old boy who thought he was going to buy a cheap iPhone was beaten and robbed by two other teens in a Landmark Square parking garage on Monday afternoon.

According to The Advocate, the boy had found an iPhone on Facebook to buy for $60 and negotiated to have the phone delivered from New Rochelle, NY for an extra $5.

About 1 p.m. Aug. 11, the victim met two teen boys and a girl at Dunkin’ Donuts, 300 Main St. From there they walked into the garage level A1 at One Landmark Square where one of the boys then put the victim in a headlock and the other began punching him. One of the boys took $20 of the $60 the victim had brought with him to buy the phone, before fleeing.
