Teen Struck By Vehicle In Stamford: PD

Police said a teenager was struck by a car in the downtown area of Stamford.

STAMFORD, CT — A 17-year-old girl was struck by a car Thursday in the downtown area of Stamford, police said. Sergeant Kenneth Jarrett told Patch the incident occurred at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Richmond Hill Avenue.

The car was traveling in the far right lane of Washington Boulevard when the teen was hit, Jarrett said. The incident is still under investigation.

Jarrett could not confirm the extent of the teen's injuries, however the Stamford Advocate reports she suffered both a broken leg and a compound fracture of her right arm.
