Tentative Last Day Of School In Stamford Moved Due To Snow Closures: SPS
Official dates will be announced no later than Thursday, April 2, according to Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools Dr. Tamu Lucero.
STAMFORD, CT — Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools Dr. Tamu Lucero announced in her recent weekly update that the tentative last day of school has been moved due to the recent snow closures.
Previously, the last day of school was tentatively scheduled for June 15. But after SPS closed on Feb. 23 and Feb. 24 because of the major blizzard that slammed through the region, the last day has now been moved to Thursday, June 18, according to Lucero.
"The official last day of school—as well as the dates for high school graduation and the elementary and middle school moving up ceremonies—will be announced no later than Thursday, April 2," Lucero said.
