Toddler Critically Injured When Car Rolls Over Her in Stamford
The incident happened when the mother was unloading groceries and children from the vehicle Tuesday.
A three-year-old girl was critically injured when she was run over by a vehicle while her mother unloaded groceries in Stamford.
Stamford Police said a 32-year-old woman was unloading groceries along with the child and a 20-month-old at about 10:16 a.m., when a Subaru Outback station wagon that was parked in front of a Pine Hill Avenue home began to roll, according to WFSB.
The woman, who is the child’s mother, was able to put the car in park — but it was after it had rolled over the toddler. The critically injured child was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
