Unborn Baby Found Dead in Stamford Sewage System
A fetus, about six months old, was found in the Norwalk sewage treatment plant, perhaps after being flushed down a toilet, police said.

Shocked workers at the Stamford sewage treatment plant on Saturday found a fetus that appeared to have been flushed down a toilet after a miscarriage, according to the Stamford Times.
Police said the unborn baby seemed to be about six months old, according to the Times report. The body will be examined by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Farmington, and DNA tests are being done, the newspaper said.
The body had gone through the plant’s separation system and put on the top of debris in a dumpster, where workers noticed it, according to the report.
