US News & World Report Issues Hospital Rankings

Stamford Hospital Among Top Hospitals in Region

U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) has recognized Stamford Hospital as a High Performing Hospital for 2018/2019, one of only 10 hospitals in Connecticut to have earned distinction. Of the approximately 4,400 hospitals evaluated nationally for Best Hospitals, approximately 25% earned a High Performing rating.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a High Performing hospital,” said Brian Grissler, President and Chief Executive Officer at Stamford Health. “This distinction is a direct result of the dedication of our staff and our physician partners, and reflects a shared commitment to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered, and high quality care.”

Among the measures used by USNWR this year, Stamford’s High Performing recognition was driven by favorable performance in the areas of heart failure care, quality process measures, patient experience (HCAHPS) scores, and its Magnet® designation for nursing excellence.
