Washington Blvd Near Train Station to Close Weekend of Sept 19-22 for New Foot Bridge
The pedestrian bridge will link the "new development Gateway Garage" to Platform 4 at the Stamford railroad station.

An announcement from the Connecticut Department of Transportation:
Washington Boulevard between South State Street and Station Place will be closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. on the weekend of Sept. 19, 2014.
The project consists of installing a prefabricated pedestrian bridge over Washington Blvd to connect the new development Gateway Garage at 406 Washington Blvd. to the Stamford Train Station Platform 4. This is anticipated to be the final closure for this project.

DOT Project no. 0301-0149 was awarded to Waters Construction, of Bridgeport, CT at a cost of $2,808,899.40 on May 1, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed in October 2014.
