STAMFORD, CT — Two Halloween-themed events presented by The Avon Theatre this week are quite different in theme, but celebrate the magic of the movies.

A special showing of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is Wednesday night. It begins at 9 p.m., so you have most of the day to shiver with antici...pation. Tickets are still available; they are $9 for Avon members and $14.50 for the general public.

"Rocky Horror," a cult classic, stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Richard O'Brien, and Barry Bostwick. O'Brien wrote the musical that the movie is based on.
