Without a Paddle -- Suspected Boat Thieves Caught in Stamford
Stamford Police say the couple appeared drunk and were using their hands to paddle away in a Boston Whaler.

A Stamford couple were literally without a paddle when they were caught allegedly trying to steal a Boston Whaler boat at Stamford’s Cove Park Marina Sunday night.
Katheryne Torres, of Congress Street, and Nicholas Vega, of Webb Avenue, were charged with third-degree criminal trespass and attempted larceny.
Police were called to the marina about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on a report that a man and a woman, who appeared to be intoxicated were using their hands to paddle the boat with their hands, according to The Advocate. The boat was equipped with an engine but the couple didn’t use that either.
