STAMFORD, CT — A New Jersey woman accused of trying to impersonate a Verizon customer and purchase over $4,000 worth of electronics was arrested Wednesday, according to police. Sgt. Brian Butler said Missy O'Brian, 25, of Hightstown, N.J., attempted to purchase two iPhone 11 Pros and an iPhone 11 Pro Max from a Verizon store in the Stamford Town Center mall using a Verizon account.

The items were collectively worth approximately $4,200, Butler said. Store employees told police the woman gave them what seemed to be a fake ID, so they contacted the account holder, who confirmed she had not been at the store that day, Butler said.

Officers later located O'Brian near the Barnes & Noble store in the mall and identified her as the suspect, Butler said. She also had a New York driver's license in the aforementioned account holder's name, Butler said.
