WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE - A Cabaret Event
Great songs and story-telling in new cabaret at Curtain Call
WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE CABARET AT CURTAIN CALL
Over the hill. Old geezer. Elderly.
Not long ago, these notoriously nasty euphemisms referred to people 55 or older. But now that 40 is the new 20, people in their 60s and more are more active than ever - and, dare we say, spry?
At Curtain Call, five WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE who have appeared on the stages there for more than 30 years, have put together a cabaret show of classic Broadway hits, a few contemporary ones, and popular standards of the 50's, 60s and more.
Faced with menopausal issues and anecdotes of surviving "the change" these talented songbirds delight audiences with their humor and reminiscences of days gone by. Lynne Colatrella, Curtain Call's co-founder and long-time actor, director and producer came up with the idea and created the show with input from her five co-stars and music director, Jerold Goldstein.
