STAMFORD, CT — New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman will make a daring descent during Stamford's 2019 "Heights & Lights" holiday tree lighting. The annual event is scheduled to take place Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m. at Landmark Square and Latham Park.
During the event, Cashman, along with Santa Claus (Brian VanOrsdel) and friends, will make a daredevil 22-story descent down the Landmark Building.
After the rappel, Santa's busy holiday schedule will take him straight up Bedford Street to Latham Park, where he will join the Stamford community for holiday music by the Candy Cane Carolers and the lighting of the holiday tree.
