Yoga Studio Owner Appointed To 'Make-A-Wish' Board Of Directors

The owner of a Stamford yoga studio has been appointed to the Make-A-Wish Connecticut board of directors.

STAMFORD, CT — Make-A-Wish Connecticut announced this week Stamford resident Robyn Whittingham has "warmly and proudly" been appointed to the organization's board of directors. She comes to role with leadership experience, having opened the Enjoy Community Wellness & Yoga studio in Stamford after a career as an executive in global human resources, according to the announcement.

Whittingham is the "chief cook and bottle washer" at the studio, which offers varied class styles, including beginner's classes and restorative yoga, interesting wellness workshops and health and wellness services with licensed, experienced practitioners.

"Robyn Whittingham is a welcome addition to our team," Make-A-Wish Connecticut CEO Pam Keough said in a statement. "Robyn's passion for giving back is contagious. She is an advocate for self-health, both physical and emotional, which will help us guide our thinking as we support more local children on their treatment journeys."

Whittingham is also active in her local community, sitting on a few hospital board committees and volunteering at her local library. She is also an editor for Elliot.org, a non-profit consumer advisement and resolutions service.

Whittingham received a master's degree in organizational dynamics, operations management and supervision from the University of Pennsylvania.
