MYSTIC, CT — After the Mystic drawbridge was stuck open, the bridge now has a new schedule for openings.
The Town of Stonington wrote last week that "due to ongoing mechanical issues" with the bridge, there will be a temporary change to openings.
The schedule change is to allow for electrical repairs to be done on the bridge.
The bridge will only be open for marine traffic daily at 7:40 a.m., 11:40 a.m., 2:40 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.
The town said the change will remain in place until Sept. 4.
On Wednesday, Aug. 21, Main Street was closed in both directions across the Mystic River due to the bridge being stuck in the upright position, according to WTNH News-8.
