MYSTIC, CT — Toast + Tonic Creative Kitchen will close following a final service Saturday.
The restaurant has been in business for six years. New owners are expected to take over the space at 27 Coogan Blvd.
"We've poured our hearts into building t+t, and while this was far from an easy decision, the time has come to pass the space along to new owners who will renovate and bring new life to it," a Facebook post from co-owner Aimee Filippetti reads.
She wrote that being part of community "has been one of the greatest highlights of owning t+t." She goes on to thank staff members for being an important part of the journey.
"As bittersweet as this goodbye is, this next chapter is also a personal one. It's time for me to step away from the restaurant and spend more time with my growing family," Filippetti wrote. "While I'll truly miss seeing your familiar faces and being part of your everyday lives, I'm looking forward to slowing down a little and being present for the little moments, especially as I watch my son grow up."
The breakfast, lunch and brunch establishment is known for its brunch offerings like crab omelets and frittata, as well as its craft cocktails and sweets baked in-house.
