193rd Anniversary Of The Birthday Of Herman Melville

A papier mache whale created by Seaport employees and visitors was a popular addition to the annual oral reading of "Moby Dick".

Readers of all ages participated in the inside the .  An actor in the role of Herman Melville read an epilogue at the end of the readings which were followed by the singing of a sea chantey by some of the young campers.
