Hurricane Sandy Updates From The First Selectman Monday October 29, Noon
As we get closer to the Hurricane arrival, I again stress the need for evacuating low lying areas.

As we get closer to the Hurricane arrival, I again stress the need for evacuating low-lying areas. The evening high tide is a moon tide and will bring great storm surges. Doubled with possible power outages are going to make extremely difficult conditions. Please take alternate shelter if you live in these areas. Flood maps are on the Town of Stonington website also.
Conditions will deteriorate around 3 p.m. on through midnight with extreme wind gust and storm surge this evening.
