YA Book with local setting and new MORTIMER MOUSE VISITS OCEAN HOUSE Book Signing
Ardi Schneider will sign copies of her three picture books about Mortimer the Mouse; and Deborah Blumenthal will sign her new young adult novel, The LIfeguard, which is set in Rhode Island.

Bank Square Books will host Ardith Schneider and Deborah Blumenthal outside on the new "front patio."
Ardi Schneider is the author and illustrator of three charming picture books about Mortimer Mouse and his cousin Max. Mortimer's newest adventure is entitled Mortimer Mouse Visits Ocean House. Mortimer and Max will join Ms Schneider for the event! (by way of two large paper mache creations that are absolutely wonderful--stop by just to see the mice!)
Ardi Schneider lives in Watch Hill, where her books take place, but she lived many years in New Britain, Connecticut where she taught art in the schools.

Deborah Blumenthal has written a new book for readers aged 12 and up called The Lifeguard. The book is set in a beach community in Rhode Island.

Deborah Blumenthal is an award-winning journalist and former New York Times Magazine health and beauty columnist. She lives in New York City. Ms Blumenthal has written several picture books, as well, including The Blue House Dog.
