Police are advising motorists to expect traffic delays and road closures while the crash is being investigated.

STRATFORD, CT — One person was killed in a crash Tuesday morning in Stratford, according to police.

Police responded to the 500 block of Surf Avenue around 7 a.m. on the report of a crash.

Officers found one vehicle involved, and one occupant who had serious injuries, according to police.

Police said the occupant was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Stratford Police Accident Reconstruction Team and police are advising motorists to expect traffic delays and road closures in the area for several hours.
