1 Dead, 3 Rescued After Boat Capsizes In Stratford
The incident occurred Sunday afternoon.

STRATFORD, CT — On Sunday, a boat crew from Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck, assisted by crews from Station New Haven, Fairfield Police Department, and Bridgeport Police and Fire Departments rescued three people from a capsized vessel near Stratford Shoal Lighthouse.
The three were quickly recovered and brought to Bridgeport Hospital for medical attention, while one reportedly attempted to swim to shore, Coast Guard officials said. He was later found unresponsive, and also brought to Bridgeport. Fox 61 reports that the boater died.
The Coast Guard strongly urges mariners to wear life jackets, officials said in a news release.
