4th Of July Holiday Announcements In Stratford

Officials announce the schedule for town buildings, including early closures, and trash collection for the Independence Day holiday.

STRATFORD, CT — Officials are advising residents that town buildings will be closing early on Thursday, July 2, at 3 p.m.

The offices of the Tax Collector, Tax Assessor, and Town Clerk will close at 2:30 p.m. on July 2, according to officials.

All town offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

The town also recently announced that the trash, recycling and yard waste collection will not be affected during the July 4 holiday week.

Residents are advised to put out their trash, recycling and yard waste on their normally scheduled day.

The transfer station will be open on Friday, July 3, for its normal hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be open on Saturday, July 4, for its normal hours from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
