$70K Charged To Stratford Schools In Superintendent Investigation: Report

The school district has been charged at least $70,000 in the investigation into suspended Superintendent Uyi Osunde, according to a report.

STRATFORD, CT — Lawyers have charged the Stratford school district at least $70,000 for costs associated with the months-long investigation into suspended Superintendent Uyi Osunde, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports the costs, which don’t include invoices for the final stages of the investigation in May and June, include lawyers poring over Osunde’s travel logs, unread emails, analyzing the exact times he entered district buildings, interviews with central office staff and more.

The Board of Education recently voted, along party lines, to take the first step to terminate Osunde’s contract, and he will have an opportunity to attend a formal hearing before the board, according to the Post.
