Historian Aaron Krerowicz discusses the Fab Four on May 17

The Stratford Library will host historian Aaron Krerowicz on Sunday, May 17th at 2 pm for a talk on The Beatles: Band of the Sixties, a behind-the-scenes retrospect about the Fab Four and their place in musical history.

The Beatles: Band of the Sixties will explore the music of the Fab Four in a nostalgic multimedia presentation spanning the full 1960’s, beginning with the band’s seminal visits to Hamburg, continuing through Beatlemania and concluding with Abbey Road. Hosted by historian Aaron Krerowicz, one of only two professional Beatles scholars in the world today, the program will be supplemented with audio clips of music and excerpts from interviews with the band members. Krerowicz’s first Beatles book, The Beatles & The Avant-Garde, was published in December 2014, with several more planned over the next few years. Autographed copies of his book will be available for purchase.

The program is part of the Sunday Afternoon Talks series of informative and entertaining presentations featuring prominent local guest speakers, and the program is sponsored by the J.T. Friderichs Memorial Fund. For further information call the library’s Public Relations & Programming Office at 203.385.4162 or visit the library website.
