STRATFORD, CT — Home prices in Stratford have continued to trend upward over the past decade, with a notable increase over the past year.
The typical home value in town is now about $454,724, according to Zillow data. Over the past year, values have increased roughly 4.3 percent.

While growth was more gradual for much of the decade, prices began to accelerate around 2020, when housing demand surged during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Market activity remains active, with about 113 homes listed for sale at the end of March and 45 new listings added during the month.
The median sale price in Stratford was about $460,000 as of late February, while the median list price stood at $430,617 at the end of March.
Homes are moving quickly, with a median of 14 days to pending, reflecting continued buyer demand.
Sales are also competitive, with about 45.3 percent of homes selling above list price, while roughly 41.1 percent sold below list, according to Zillow data.
Even as the pace of increases has shifted more recently, overall values remain significantly higher than they were just a few years ago.
