STRATFORD, CT — JP Sredzinski was sworn in as Stratford’s newly appointed Emergency Management Director on Friday, according to Mayor David Chess.
Sredzinski has been leading the Stratford 9-1-1 Dispatch Center since 2011, where he has been responsible for coordinating all 9-1-1 calls and responses for Police, EMS and Fire Department services, according to Chess.
“He was born and raised in Stratford, attending Stratford Public Schools and graduating from Bunnell High School before obtaining his B.A. And M.P.A from the University of Connecticut,” Chess wrote in a post on Facebook. “He has experienced Storms Irene, Sandy, Nemo, several microbursts, many summer/winter storms, and has built relationships with Red Cross, UI, and many outside agencies. His emergency management training includes the National Emergency Management Basic Academy and the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy, as well as dozens of FEMA classes.
