On the field, the Stratford baseball team delivered a dramatic comeback victory over Kolbe Cathedral on Monday.

Jack Wiltsie continued his impressive season on the mound, pitching a complete game to lead the Red Devils. Offensively, Eli Jimenez sparked the team with a two-RBI double in the fourth inning.

Trailing late, Stratford rallied in the bottom of the sixth when Julian Rivera singled and Max Owen drew a walk. A passed ball and an errant throw allowed both runners to advance, setting the stage for junior Blake Merfalen, who delivered the go-ahead RBI single.

Stratford secured the 4–3 victory in thrilling fashion.

The Stratford-NDWH softball team also delivered an exciting performance, defeating Kolbe Cathedral 12–10 in another late-game rally.

Ashlyn Tacy led the offense with three hits and three RBIs, while Adriana Colon contributed two RBIs. Emma Eyerman and Mary Sowitchy each added two hits to support the effort.

With the win, Stratford-NDWH reached their eighth victory of the season, officially qualifying for the state tournament — a tremendous accomplishment for the program.
