STRATFORD, CT — In an update, police said Short Beach Park reopened at 3 p.m.

"Expect to see police presence at all town beaches & parks to ensure the safety of all visitors," police wrote.

(Original post) STRATFORD, CT — Stratford police are advising residents that Short Beach access is temporarily closed “out of an abundance of caution” due to a potential beach takeover.

“We are monitoring all town beaches at this time,” police wrote in the advisory. “No activities have been canceled. The golf course and restaurant remain open and accessible.”
