Several Roads Closed Due To Flash Flooding In Stratford

Officials are advising residents of several road closures that are in effect due to flash flooding in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — Officials are advising residents of several road closures that are in effect due to flash flooding in Stratford.

“Stratford is currently included in a Flash Flood Warning, with additional thunderstorms possible,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “A Flood Watch remains in effect until 2:00 a.m., and a Tornado Watch is in effect until 9:00 p.m.

“Heavy rainfall has caused flash flooding in portions of Stratford. We have received over 3.2" of rain this afternoon. Some roads may be covered by water or temporarily impassable.”

Officials are also advising residents to:

Call 911 only for immediate threats to life or safety.
