STRATFORD, CT — Officials are advising residents of several road closures that are in effect due to flash flooding in Stratford.
“Stratford is currently included in a Flash Flood Warning, with additional thunderstorms possible,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “A Flood Watch remains in effect until 2:00 a.m., and a Tornado Watch is in effect until 9:00 p.m.
“Heavy rainfall has caused flash flooding in portions of Stratford. We have received over 3.2" of rain this afternoon. Some roads may be covered by water or temporarily impassable.”
