Attila The Jungle Wood Priestess Arrives At Fright Haven
Attila the Jungle Wood Priestess arrived at Fright Haven in Stratford for Halloween.

Stratford, CT:“Attila the Jungle Wood Priestess” arrived unexpectedly in front of Fright Haven’s doorstep at 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff in Stratford, CT, approximately one month before the official season premiere opening on September 13th - yes, Friday the 13th.

Fright Haven, CT’s largest, scariest and greatest indoor haunted attraction, is filled with animatronics, decorated mannequins, static monsters, clowns, frightening figurines, dolls and creatures of the night in all shapes and sizes. They complement the team of over fifty scare actors, or “Scaracters," who spend their evenings startling visitors within the 20,000+ square foot entertainment complex. However, this is the first time a six-foot, life-size "she-tree" monstrosity arrived at the haunt’s doorstep without any warning or explanation beyond a note attached to one of its wooden arms. The scribbled note reads as follows:
“Treat Attila with the utmost care and respect. She was found long ago in the depths of an uncharted jungle and was worshiped as a deity for decades. She brings good luck to those of kind heart but places a curse on the evil ones who touch her with ill intent.”

Made from a sacred tree and adorned with necklaces, ornaments and trinkets by worshipers, Attila will be an integral part of “Cabin in the Woods,” one of the three newly decorated attractions in Fright Haven. Guests may touch the Jungle Wood Priestess if they dare but must heed the warning of the legend. Fright Haven accepts no responsibility for any resulting hexes or spells.
Along with “Cabin in the Woods,” Fright Haven will be presenting the dark world of “Psycho Ward 13,” an asylum known for questionable methods of treating its patients. For fifty years, the doctors conducted heinous experiments on the mentally deranged, stripping them of their humanity and taking many lives - accidentally? For those who survived, all it took was one unlocked cell to end one reign of terror, and for a new one to begin. Free at last, the inmates have taken over the ward and have started conducting their own experiments on the remaining doctors, nurses and visitors. With mangled bodies strewn across rusty operating tables, bloody torture devices hidden around every corner, and the ear ringing buzz of electroshock instruments, guests may just might lose their minds too.

The final attraction for visitors to Fright Haven is “The 3D Carnival of Lost Souls” ...
Unlike any amusement park you’ve ever visited. The carny barkers beckon you to step right up, as you're invited to look into this demented carnival. This twisted neon wonderland features the creepy crawlers and sideshow freaks that occupy only the most deranged hallucinogenic nightmare. Imaginations will run wild with haunted thoughts, and the state-of-the-art 3-D images will blow whatever mind one may have left. Guests will come face to face with some carnivorous carnies, killer klowns, jumping jesters and harlequin horrors along the way. No guarantee that visitors won’t get sucked into the Vortex of Vapidity and become one of the permanent lost souls of the carnival.
Fright Haven opens with a sneak preview premiere night Friday the 13th, September 13 from 7pm-10pm, followed by a grand opening Saturday, September 21, also 7pm-10pm and then continues Thursdays through Sunday for the Halloween season until November. There is free parking.
