Bagel Shop Closes After Opening In Landmark Location In Stratford
The popular eatery has closed its doors for good, the owners recently announced.
STRATFORD, CT — Bagel Boutique has closed its doors for good, three years after opening in the former iconic Danny’s Drive-In location in Stratford.
Bagel Boutique, which opened in March 2023, was owned by Chris Yantz and Scott Sanborn, who said at the time that the former Danny’s Drive-In location at 940 Ferry Boulevard “checked all the boxes” for their newest business venture.
“Bagel Boutique has permanently closed its doors,” reads a post on the eatery’s Facebook page. “We are deeply grateful for every customer who supported us. Your loyalty and support meant more than you know. Thank you for being a part of our story.”

Another person wrote, “Very sorry to hear. The best bagels. I would find an excuse to come by since we moved from Stratford to Norwalk 3 years ago. Best wishes to you all.”
The Bagel Boutique featured artisan scratch made bagels, and a menu that Yantz had said featured “everything from a Chipotle Turkey Club to a Hazelnut Banana Toast,” and served breakfast, lunch, and coffee.
