Brothers Ditched 'Ghost Gun' While Fleeing Traffic Stop: Stratford PD

The brothers are accused of throwing a duffle bag that contained an assault rifle from a vehicle while fleeing a traffic stop, police said.

STRATFORD, CT — Two brothers were arrested this week on weapon charges after police said they ditched a duffle bag containing an assault rifle while fleeing a motor vehicle stop in Stratford last month.

Stratford residents Charlie Echevarria, 24, and Moses Echevarria, 28, were both arrested June 11 after a warrant was served in the 100 block of Lenox Avenue in Stratford, according to Lt. Robert Burroughs.

Burroughs said the arrests and search warrants stemmed from an investigation into the brothers after they fled from a motor vehicle stop in Stratford on May 23. The brothers are accused of throwing a duffle bag that contained an assault rifle from the vehicle, according to Burroughs.
