Call for Artists and Crafters: Spring Art and Craft Market in Stratford

Artists and crafters may now submit applications for the Coastal Arts Guild of CT’s Spring Arts & Craft Market, to be held Sunday, May 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Guild welcomes applications from fine artists and artisans who create original work from across the spectrum of the handmade arts, including fine artists, makers of original arts and crafts, and food artisans. No mass-market, resold work, imports or crafts from kits will be accepted for this show.

Perfect for Mother’s Day Shopping

Just in time for Mother’s Day shopping, this event is a collection of artists and crafters with superior skills in the handmade arts and crafts. The show and sale will be held at Stratford’s Baldwin Center.

Stratford artist and guild member Susan Ernst’s mixed media piece, “Garden Songbird Silhouette” was selected for the event’s poster. She will be selling handmade art, paper and books at the show.

“People want to buy beautiful, handmade art and craft,” said Melissa Benson, event organizer and guild board member. “This event brings artists and the public together in a great space for all to enjoy craftsmanship.”

Discounts available

For a limited time, artists who are accepted to both our Spring Art & Craft Market and the guild’s popular “Artists & Artisans in Paradise,” to be held August 30, 2015, will receive discounted registration fees. Registration for both shows must be done at the same time.
