Car Sought In Drive-By Shooting In Stratford: UPDATE

A 16-year-old boy was shot while playing on the basketball courts Tuesday night and police are searching for the vehicle that fled the scene

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Police are investigating several leads in connection to a drive-by shooting in which a 16-year-old boy was shot while playing basketball on the courts on Woodend Road Tuesday night, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti. The victim is being treated at Bridgeport Hospital and is in good condition, Eannotti said in an update on Wednesday.

The drive-by shooting occurred at about 7 p.m. on Woodend Road on Aug. 7 and the suspects fled the scene in what appeared to be a silver car, possibly a Honda, according to Eannotti. The suspect vehicle (pictured) has a distinctive black front bumper, Eannotti said. The shooter and vehicle fled south on Woodend Road after the shooting.
