Celebrating Man Prompts Police Standoff In Stratford: Report

Police were seen with guns drawn and "blood curdling" screams could be heard coming from a home, but it all ended peacefully & without drama

STRATFORD, CT — A scary situation unfolded on Douglas Street in Stratford on Monday where officers could be seen with guns drawn and “blood curdling” screams could be heard coming from a home, according to the Connecticut Post. Fortunately, despite the dramatic setup, the situation ended without much drama.

The Post reports that the situation turned out to be a man who was celebrating breaking up with his longtime girlfriend and admitted it may have gotten a bit out of control.

Police found 50 empty vodka bottles in the home and Andrew Horowitz, 50, was charged with breach of peace, according to the Post.
