STRATFORD, CT — For the second time in the last four years, Bunnell High School will be looking for a new football coach. Sean Patrick Bowley of GameTimeCT reports that Sean Mignone resigned as Bunnell’s head coach on Wednesday, citing family reasons and “nothing more.”
Mignone, who is also a teacher at the school, guided the Bulldogs to two playoff appearances (in 2016 and 2018) in four years, according to GameTimeCT. He finished with an overall record of 33-14, including a five-game stint as interim coach in 2014 when Doug Cotto was suspended and then fired at midseason, according to GameTimeCT.
