Collinsville Resident Elected Partner at BlumShapiro

BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has announced the election of a new partner, James Harper, CPA.

As a partner in BlumShapiro’s software and business process outsourcing (BPO) consulting group in West Hartford, CT, Harper manages the BPO services platform, which includes performing all accounting and back office transaction services for both start-up and mature organizations in all industries, including fractional CFO and controller services. In addition, he oversees and provides consulting expertise such as CFO advisory, process improvement and reengineering, business enterprise review (BER), software selection and performance management.

Harper has diverse experience in finance, finance transformation, accounting, reporting, controls and operational management, and specializes in serving large and middle-market privately held and public companies, hospitals and healthcare organizations, non-profit organizations and municipalities.

Harper is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

He is a graduate of Boise State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.

Harper is a resident of Collinsville, CT.
